Recently, Adobe announced plans to release AI-powered Premiere Pro within the year, but specific details about the timing have not been disclosed.
According to Adobe’s official demonstration, AI-powered Premiere Pro allows users to edit videos with just a single sentence. Users can input text prompts to add, change, or delete objects, add additional shots, and even extend certain frames.
To achieve these AI capabilities, Adobe is not only developing its own video models but also integrating third-party video models into Premiere Pro, including products from Runway, Pika, and OpenAI’s Sora, which are among the most well-known AI video tools.
Based on the current demonstrations, Pika is mainly used for expanding videos to create smoother transitions between scenes, while Sora and Runway are primarily used to generate additional shots for scenes.
Adobe has already deployed AI-powered tools within its Photoshop (PS) software.
The AI capabilities in Photoshop are somewhat similar in concept to Premiere Pro, both allowing users to handle intricate details more easily using text prompts. For example, users can add content, remove or replace parts of images, and expand images, among other functions.
