Apple Lifts Restrictions: Game Emulators to Return to iOS!

In an update released on Friday, Apple announced that game emulators, previously prohibited in the iPhone App Store, will now be allowed for use globally.

According to Apple, developers are responsible for all software they provide, “including ensuring that these software offerings comply with guidelines and all applicable laws.”

Game emulators have long been banned from running on iOS, but today’s move should allow retro game emulators from Android to be brought to iPhones.

During interviews, sources expressed concerns about Apple’s gaming subscription service, with previous reports indicating that Apple had canceled some projects, reduced developer payouts, and abandoned original games.
